Linksys SPA 2102 VoIP Settings & Configuration Guide

If you have a Linksys SPA-2102, please try to unlock the device before signing up for Boloh service. A small number of customers are reporting difficulty unlocking the Linksys SPA-2102. This is likely due to one of the companies working with Sunrocket, in a effort to retain a portion of the SunRocket Customer base having likely reconfigured passwords on the Linksys SPA-2102.

STEP 1

- Navigate to http://192.168.1.1/admin/voice/advanced in a web browser ,

- enter "admin" as the username and the required password;

If you do not receive a password prompt then replace 192.168.1.1 with 192.168.0.1.

STEP 2

The main configuration screen will now be displayed.

-Click on Admin Login.

- Next, choose from the main menu 'Voice' and then Line2 . (Most of our customers were not successful to configure Line1)

Enter the below information

Proxy: sip3.Boloh.co.uk

Display Name: Enter your full name, this will show up as part of your caller ID.

User ID: Enter the account number assigned to you when signed up for Boloh service.

Password: Enter the password that you chose when you signed up for the service.

STEP 3

Click on the "Submit All Changes" button at the bottom of the form.

STEP 4

Change the “Preferred Codec” to G729a. Also change the “Use Pref Codec Only” to No.

Click on the "Submit All Changes" button at the bottom of the form.

Make Calls!

NAT/Firewall Issues

If you get one-way audio, you are probably behind NAT. Make the following changes on LINE 1 (you have to click on advanced view to see these options)

If the phone fails to login, please take the time to double check your configuration as above. If everything appears to be correct, the problem may be your firewall.

- If your router/firewall suports DMZ, put your VoIP device in the DMZ area

- If you have an external firewall try opening SIP ports SIP signalling ports (UDP) = 5000 - 5500 RTP/RTCP ports (UDP) = 10000 - 30000
